It also brings to mind pictures of vast olive tree fields in a golden land and a stunning coastline with a sea that is simply blue.

Greece holds a special place in my heart.
I traveled far and wide by car, ferrying from one island to another, taking endless train journeys to the cities...
Whether you're interested in exploring the mainland or favoring one or more islands, Greece provides stunning views and unforgettable memories of a land surrounded by the sea and bathed in sunlight.

Best time to visit: June to October
What to wear: light and comfy clothes, sunglasses, and a hat.
Don't forget to bring pants and a scarf for your trip to Meteora.
Road conditions: good overall. Service stations for refueling or car maintenance are not available along the highway. You can travel by car, motorcycle, or scooter.
Some islands, like Kos island, have a reliable bus service.
How to go there: there are non-stop flights from Italy to Athens and Thessaloniki. You can also take ferries from Brindisi/Ancona to get to Corfu or Igoumenitsa and then travel on to Meteore.
